Prayer

Emphasis On & Practice of Prayer

We value communications with God to enjoy His Presence, to find His direction, and to release his Power.

This means that on-going communication with God is vital to our relationship with Him.  As a body of Christ and as individuals, we will emphasize prayer. Through prayer we praise, confess, thank, make requests, and receive direction from Him.

  • Personal Devotion
  • Corporate Prayer
  • Ongoing communication with God
  • Scripture:

“I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing” (1 Tim.2:8).

“Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” (Jam. 5:13-16).

“Pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints” (Eph. 6:18).
