Our Ministry

We believe that in order for the Church to become relevant in our community and world, we must cease doing church, and We Must Become the Church.

The Overall Goal of the Parkdale Church of the Nazarene is to bring people into a relationship with God, through Christ Jesus by REACHING out to people, LOVING them into the body of Christ, TEACHING them to become disciples of Christ Jesus, and EMPOWERING and INVOLVING them in the ministry of Christ Jesus.

Jesus as He was talking to His disciples said, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:34-35).We believe we are to follow these directions as well. Through our Teaching and Preaching ministries, we hope to equip people to not only obey these commands, but to exemplify them through our everyday living.

Jesus also told His disciples, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20).We further believe that in addition to these ministries, through our Small Group relationships, our people will learn to live life as a witness and to love people into a relationship with Christ Jesus.
